NO FUN 'ANTHEME'

Defining the sound of Brooklyn-based band No Fun is about as enjoyable as their namesake implies. Alternately described by listeners as "garage," "punk" or simply "screamy," they prefer to put it like this: "forged from the four corners of freedom comes the sound of sweet and sour . . . we inhabit the shadows of Brooklyn to [mess] with your mind." BKMH produced the music video for their title track Antheme--as in "anthem" and "theme" crammed together--collaborating with the band to devise a visual style to fit their sound. The resulting video is a simple tale of hungover love-at-first-sight-because-hey-it's-convenient, punctuated by bursts of collage animation with the band performing in exotic post-card destinations. Then it gets weird.
